John List - "The Annihilator": The FULL MK Confidential Series

John List murdered his wife, mother, and three children on November 9, 1971, then fled and left a confession letter.

John List was raised in a strict, religious household and became an accountant who married Helen, a war widow.

List's financial collapse and religious fears led him to believe murdering his family would save their souls.

List fled to Colorado, assumed the identity of Robert P. Clark, and lived undetected for 18 years.

A clay bust of List on America's Most Wanted led to a tip that resulted in his arrest in Virginia.

List was convicted of five counts of first-degree murder and sentenced to five consecutive life terms.

List died in prison in 2008 at age 82, with no family claiming his body.

The List murders left a lasting mark on Westfield, with the original house burning down and the street renamed.
