4th & South - Patrick Peterson on his LSU Heisman pose BET & getting revenge on Larry Fitzgerald

I chose LSU because of the talent and the competitive nature that Louisiana guys brought out of me

I bet with Calvin Shepard that I would hit the Heisman pose if I got a punt return. Les Miles gave me an earful about putting the team in a bad field position but I didn't get in trouble

LSU is the real DBU because of the longevity and consistent NFL production of its defensive backs

Nobody went home during spring intercession because we wanted to put our best effort forward

My top five LSU defensive backs are Corey Webster, LaRon Landry, Tyrann Mathieu, myself, and Chevis Jackson

I didn't like the idea of retiring the number because it motivates kids to want to wear it. Number seven represents a game changer and a leader you can count on in any situation

Ken Whisenhunt told me I would be returning punts in the NFL just like I did at LSU. Punt returning helped me settle down in my rookie season by giving me early success

Steve Smith's constant talking and ability to catch passes in tight coverage made me realize the NFL skill level

Larry Fitzgerald caught a back-shoulder fade on our first one-on-one and sent me a framed photo. I intercepted Larry on a dig route with a backhand pick to get even

We were demoralized going into the NFC Championship because we lost Tyrann Mathieu and Carson Palmer was injured. Our offensive model was risk it no biscuit, but we couldn't risk it without Palmer's arm

Bruce Arians was the best head coach I ever had because he kept it real and called out his five-star players

Arians threatened to healthy scratch me when I was sick with diabetes, which motivated me to play through it

Bruce Arians gave me about twelve plays to throw to loosen up defenses sitting on our big receivers. I threw a 17-yard completion to Kerry Washington because I couldn't torque my body to hit Mike Floyd

Minnesota was a great experience because the city kept roads clear and you weren't outside much. The fans are passionate and the team had a record number of comeback wins

I decided to retire because moving from corner to safety meant it was time to go. Corner and safety are different worlds with different tackling entry points and field vision

Larry Fitzgerald's induction ceremony made me realize I have a real opportunity to make the Hall of Fame

The cornerback position is underrated in the Hall of Fame compared to quarterbacks and safeties

Modern defenses will prevent players from reaching 50 interceptions, lowering the benchmark

My dream Hall of Fame guest list is Michael Jordan, Barack Obama, Lil Wayne, Robert De Niro, and Brad Pitt

Golf is a four-hour therapy session that helps me clear my mind and unwind. Larry and I secretly flew our golf clubs to Buffalo after BA banned golf on road trips

Fatherhood is the best job God created because I get to be involved in my kids' daily lives

I've been recording videos since I was 24 to share life lessons and struggles with my kids
