BEST OF THE HERD - Michigan's Last Play | Lane Kiffin's Remarks | 49ers Advantage

The Michigan-WM game ending with an extra second added was perfectly appropriate for college football's chaotic nature. The Big Ten's explanation about synced cameras and the TV graphic discrepancy led to the confusion. The confusion and subsequent speculation are inherent to college football, unlike the NFL's more buttoned-up environment.

Lane Kiffin's halftime remark about imagining what his team would look like with pro players shows he can't help himself.

He told his staff he was just wondering what they'd look like with pro players too, acknowledging his personality drives these comments.

Kiffin consistently burns bridges at every stop, citing his history at Tennessee, USC, Alabama, and the Raiders.

The 49ers starting their season in Australia makes sense given their bizarre offseason, listing the Brandon Aiyuk contract saga, Kyle Shanahan's car accident, Jed York's Ohio trailer park incident, and injuries near a nuclear reactor.

He views the Australia trip as a de facto home game due to the team's strong Southern California fanbase.

The distance might actually benefit the team by removing them from local distractions.
